New Hampshire's Find Your Perfect Bourbon Contest Returns

The New Hampshire Liquor Commission (NHLC) has brought back its Find Your Perfect Bourbon (F.Y.P.B.) single barrel selection contest and sale for a second year. The program, timed to coincide with Bourbon Heritage Month, allows two customers to sample, choose and name exclusive single barrel expressions while NH Liquor & Wine Outlets stages one of its largest single barrel bourbon and American whiskey sales.

The contest lets winners select single barrels from Elijah Craig, Angel’s Envy, Knob Creek and Jack Daniel’s.

These custom bottlings will then be sold at NH Liquor & Wine Outlets.

"We are proud to be the destination for bourbon and whiskey lovers throughout North America," said NHLC chairman Joseph Mollica.

"As an early pioneer of the single barrel movement, we have assembled one of the nation’s largest offerings of single barrel bourbons and whiskeys."

Mollica added: "Customers have taken notice, as last year, our F.Y.P.B. sale was one of the most successful initiatives to date."

The sale runs from 31 August to 27 September.

Customers receive 10% off three bottles, 15% off six bottles or 25% off 12 bottles or more across all single barrel American whiskeys and bourbons.

New single barrel selections include Larceny 92 Proof Private Barrel, George Dickel 9-Year Single Barrel Select, Barton 1792 Full Proof Bourbon Barrel Select and Bulleit Bourbon Single Barrel.

Two winners and their guests will attend a private dinner and single barrel selection during New Hampshire Distiller’s Week. They will also receive a bottle from each customer-selected barrel upon release.

Last year’s winners, David Lynch and Michael Pouliot, named an Elijah Craig single barrel "Smooth & Lingers" and a Knob Creek single barrel "Warm Hearted."

Since 2011, NHLC has purchased more than 1,000 barrels across multiple spirits categories.

This includes nearly 800 single barrel bourbons and American whiskeys from more than 50 brands, with over 100 selections currently available.

Additional offerings span Canadian whisky, rye, rum, tequila and Irish whiskey.

The F.Y.P.B. sale is a tribute to W.L. Weller’s Craft Your Perfect Bourbon, crafted at Buffalo Trace Distillery.

NHLC operates 65 NH Liquor & Wine Outlets across the state, serving more than 12 million customers annually. Entries can be made at liquorandwineoutlets.com.
