Michter's To Debut Limited Edition Releases In The UK This Spring

Speciality Brands is launching four 2025 limited editions from Michter’s Distillery in the UK this March, headlined by the ultra-premium 20 Year Bourbon. The lineup also includes Michter’s Toasted Barrel Finish Sour Mash, 10 Year Rye, and 10 Year Bourbon, all available under allocation at key partners.

The 20 Year Bourbon (57.1% ABV, £2,350) represents the flagship of the release. It has matured for two full decades in first-use charred American white oak barrels.

Official tasting notes from the brand describe the whiskey as “a profoundly expressive whiskey with exceptional depth featuring deep vanilla, toffee, chocolate, spice and fruit notes.” The bottle features Michter’s signature glass design with a wax seal, housed in a collector’s gift box.

Michter’s 10 Year Rye (46.4% ABV, £191.23) is described as “a refined and elegant interpretation of Kentucky-style rye whiskey.” According to the brand, the liquid is aged significantly longer than the label suggests.

Official notes from the brand cite “warm baking spice and fresh citrus underpinned by rich notes of vanilla, caramel, chocolate and sweet oak.”

The 10 Year Bourbon (47.2% ABV, £176.24) delivers “layered flavours of cinnamon, orange oil, and a hint of buttered apple,” per the brand’s official notes. The finish features “peanut brittle, charred oak, and peppercorn.”

Rounding out the quartet is the Toasted Barrel Finish Sour Mash (43% ABV, £112). This expression is finished in toasted, uncharred barrels. The brand describes the resulting profile as featuring “rich honey sweetness, burnt sugar, and citrus spice, complemented by a subtle smoky vanilla.”

Michter’s has built a reputation as one of America’s most acclaimed whiskey producers. Its portfolio spans bourbon, rye, sour mash whiskey, and American whiskey, with each limited-production offering aged to what the distillery considers peak maturity.

The Louisville, Kentucky-based distillery has earned consistent recognition across the spirits industry. Michter’s was named the world’s most admired American whiskey by Drinks International in its annual survey for multiple consecutive years, reinforcing its standing among collectors and bartenders alike.

Speciality Brands handles UK distribution for the range. All four releases arrive this month.
