Chimera Brand Development has been named the exclusive UK distribution and brand-building partner for Isle of Arran Distillers’ single malt portfolios. The appointment covers the Arran Single Malt and Lagg Single Malt brands across both on-trade and off-trade channels.
The partnership unites the independent Scotch distiller with Chimera’s commercial strategy and market development model. It aims to deepen market penetration and raise premium visibility for the twin island distilleries.
“As an independent distiller, finding a partner who truly understands our island’s unique heritage and the distinct identities of both our Lochranza and Lagg distilleries was paramount,” said Euan Mitchell, managing director of Isle of Arran Distillers. “The UK remains a vitally important and highly competitive market for single malts. Chimera’s progressive, targeted approach to brand development aligns perfectly with our vision.”

Seymour Ferreira, CEO of Chimera Brand Development, welcomed the brands to the firm’s roster.
“We are incredibly proud to welcome Arran and Lagg into the Chimera family,” he said. “These are exceptional, independently owned brands with an uncompromising dedication to quality and a clear point of difference.” He added: “Our tailored, collaborative model is designed to respect the unique identity of each distillery while aggressively driving their footprint and narrative across the UK.”
Isle of Arran Distillers operates two distilleries. Lochranza Distillery, founded in 1995 by Harold Currie, restored whisky-making to the island after more than 150 years. Lagg Distillery opened in 2019, producing a heavily peated style.
The company recently re-released the Arran 14 Year Old and launched its first core-range Arran 30 Year Old. It was also named Distillery of the Year 2025 at the Scottish Whisky Awards.
