Texas-based Garrison Brothers Distillery will release its first-ever Bottled-in-Bond expression on February 28, 2026. The six-year-old, 100-proof Texas bourbon was distilled in fall 2019 and will be the 10th whiskey in the brand’s permanent portfolio.

The initial launch will see 2,000 bottles made available on a first-come, first-served basis at the distillery in Hye, Texas, during its “Bottled in Bond, A 100 Proof Texas Celebration” event.

The whiskey is made from Texas grains and proofed with pure Hill Country rainwater.

It was produced in accordance with the U.S. Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897. This law requires the spirit to be the product of one distillation season, by one distiller, at a single distillery, aged for at least four years in a federally bonded warehouse, and bottled at exactly 100 proof (50% ABV).

Dan Garrison, founder of Garrison Brothers Distillery, said: “From day one, Garrison Brothers has cooked our own mash, fermented our own distillers beer, pot-distilled, and aged our bourbon right here in Hye, Texas. There’s no BS here.”

He continued: “For six summers, this whiskey moved in and out of the wood, tightening its flavor and deepening its color. We proofed it down to 100 and put our name on it. This release marks a milestone for Texas distilling, Donnis Todd and our entire team.”

Donnis Todd, master distiller at Garrison Brothers, added: “One run, one place, one team. Then we let Texas do what Texas does. Hot days. Cool nights. Oak inhaling and exhaling until the whiskey got bold, and layered, and honest.”

“We were not chasing ‘bottled-in-bond.’ We were chasing the best bottled-in-bond bourbon ever made,” Todd stated.

According to official notes from the brand, the bourbon is “oaky and smoky, with tobacco, leather, and campfire kindling on the nose.”

The palate is described as opening with “toasted oak and heavy wood sugars—robust, earthy, deep, and full.”

According to Garrison Brothers, the bourbon “drinks like a cross between maple syrup and homemade root beer, rich with sassafras and sarsaparilla,” with layers of “caramelized dark chocolate” and a finish of “plums, nectarines, roasted almonds, and toffee.”

Garrison Brothers Bottled in Bond has a suggested retail price of $99.99.

A wider release is planned for the end of March 2026, when the bourbon will be available via e-commerce and at select retailers, restaurants, and bars.

Founded in 2006, Garrison Brothers Distillery was the first legal whiskey distillery established in Texas and has been a central figure in the growth of the state’s whiskey category. The distillery’s portfolio is currently sold across the U.S. and in five international markets.
