Eden Mill has officially opened its new multi-million-pound distillery and visitor center on the banks of the Eden Estuary in St Andrews, Scotland.

The new facility is powered entirely by renewable energy and has created 18 new jobs in the local area.

The visitor experience includes immersive gin and whisky tours, a retail space, a professional golf simulator, and a 40-seat cocktail bar called The Lookout which offers panoramic views of the estuary.

“The vision was to create a distillery and visitor centre that would celebrate the town’s rich distilling heritage, highlighting St Andrews as a must-visit destination for spirits tourism,” said Euan Kinninmonth, Brand Home Manager at Eden Mill. “It’s a landmark moment – not just for Eden Mill, but for St Andrews as a whole.”

To commemorate the opening, the distillery is releasing an exclusive single cask sherry matured whisky.

The expression, which was originally filled in 2016, is limited to 279 bottles and is only available for purchase from the new distillery’s retail space.

Visitor experiences can be booked through the company’s website.
