King Charles III has granted five Royal Warrants to Diageo brands in his second round of appointments, reinforcing the spirits giant’s historic ties to the British Royal Household.
The December 2024 announcement confirms warrants for Justerini & Brooks Wine & Spirits Merchants, John Walker & Sons (Johnnie Walker), Royal Lochnagar Scotch Whisky, Tanqueray Gordon & Company, and The Pimm’s Company.

Royal Recognition Across Industry
The appointments are part of a broader announcement granting warrants to 386 companies that previously held appointments from Queen Elizabeth II. Several other major spirits producers also received recognition, including Bacardi-Martini Limited for Martini vermouth and Matthew Gloag & Son for The Famous Grouse.
“It is a great privilege to supply our products to the Royal Household, and with the granting of these five new Royal Warrants to His Majesty The King, we will display His Majesty’s Royal Arms on these brands with immense pride,” said Dan Mobley, global corporate relations director at Diageo.
Historic Royal Connections
For Diageo’s brands, these warrants represent centuries of royal service. Justerini & Brooks’ connection dates to 1761, when the merchant supplied wines for King George III’s coronation. Johnnie Walker has held its warrant since King George V’s reign in 1934, while Tanqueray Gordon & Company now celebrates its fifth warrant since 1925.
Champagne Houses Celebrate
Among other notable appointments, Champagne Bollinger maintained its long-standing royal connection, having held a warrant since Queen Victoria’s reign in 1884. Etienne Bizot, président directeur général of Groupe Bollinger, highlighted the timing’s significance.
“I am delighted to hear that Champagne Bollinger has once again been bestowed the great honour of receiving the Royal Warrant,” said Bizot. “It is extra special to receive it this year from His Majesty The King, on the 140th anniversary since it was first bestowed upon the House by Queen Victoria in 1884.”
The warrants follow an earlier round of appointments in May 2024, which included Berry Bros & Rudd and D Johnston & Co (Laphroaig) among the spirits companies recognized.
