Brother’s Bond Bourbon has officially launched in the UK through a new distribution partnership with Maverick Drinks. The move brings the four-expression portfolio, founded by actors Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley, to the UK as part of a broader international growth strategy across Europe, the UAE, and Asia.

Brother’s Bond Bourbon was developed by Somerhalder and Wesley, longtime friends who discovered a shared passion for American whiskey while working together on set.

Somerhalder is closely involved in blending and barrel selection, while Wesley leads the brand’s creative direction.

The launch taps into a period of significant growth for American whiskey in the UK, as a number of brands, including Buffalo Trace, seek to strengthen their UK customer base. Brother’s Bond now joins the fold after years of success in the USA.

Juan-Marc Correia, director at Atom Group, of which Maverick Drinks is the distribution and brand-building arm, said: “Interest in American whiskey is growing quickly in the UK, particularly as the whisky audience broadens and drinkers look for styles that offer the structure and craft they’re familiar with, while also remaining accessible and easy to enjoy.”

“Brother’s Bond Bourbon fits that moment well and its 7 Year Old Bottled-in-Bond Straight Bourbon, which earned Double Gold and a 98-point score at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, is a clear example of the quality we believe the UK trade and consumers will respond to,” Correia added.

He also noted: “The Regenerative Grain Bourbon also points to a long-term, considered sustainable approach to how the whiskey is made, which is exactly what we look for when building brands in the UK.”

Maverick Drinks will manage full national distribution across the UK on- and off-trade, with a strong focus on e-commerce.

The strategy aims to introduce new consumers to American whiskey while engaging established drinkers through education and targeted activations.

“From the outset, Brother’s Bond Bourbon has been built around a genuine commitment to the whiskey itself,” said Vincent Hanna, CEO of Brother’s Bond Bourbon.

Hanna stated: “Ian and Paul have taken a hands-on role in shaping the liquid and brand over time, with Ian stepping away from acting to focus fully on the craft.”

“As we launch in the UK, we’re entering a market with a deep appreciation for whisky and a growing appetite for well-made American expressions. Partnering with Maverick Drinks allows us to introduce the range thoughtfully, with a shared focus on education, credibility and long-term brand building.”

The launch portfolio is available immediately through e-commerce platform Master of Malt and its wholesale partner, Master of Malt Trade.

The UK range includes the 70cl Brother’s Bond Bottled in Bond 7 Year Old Straight Bourbon, with a recommended retail price (RRP) of £61.50.

It is joined by Brother’s Bond Regenerative Grain Straight Bourbon, which will retail for £54.50.

The core Brother’s Bond Straight Bourbon has an RRP of £50.95.

Completing the initial offering is Brother’s Bond American Blended Rye Whiskey, priced at £54.95.
