Bardstown Bourbon Company is launching a bold packaging redesign across its core whiskey portfolio.
The Kentucky-based distiller will roll out the packaging transformation for its American whiskey portfolio starting in early spring 2026. The new design aims to enhance retail visibility and product clarity as the brand continues its nationwide expansion, and will be accompanied by a new Wheated Bourbon single barrel offering.
The redesign was initiated after market research indicated the previous packaging was recessive on retail shelves and lacked clear differentiation between expressions. Founded in 2014, Bardstown Bourbon Company has become a prominent modern producer, known for both its own brands and an extensive collaborative distilling program.
Pete Marino, president of Lofted Spirits, commented on the brand’s evolution.
“Our new packaging amplifies what made us who we are: bold, innovative, transparent and high-quality,” Marino said. “Every element, from our beautiful bottle to the premium materials, tells the story of our unwavering commitment to excellence while signaling our evolution as a brand that is ready to boldly step into the future.”
The updated packaging retains the brand’s signature bottle shape while introducing a refined color system, bold typography, and distinctive iconography to improve SKU differentiation.
It also features a soft-touch label substrate, a debossed topographical map of the brand’s origin, and a heavier-weighted cork.
The project was overseen in-house by Design Director Ron Jasin and produced in partnership with international printing house Eurostampa.
The refreshed design will first appear on Bardstown’s core products: Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Bottled-in-Bond, High Wheat Bourbon, and Kentucky Straight Rye.
Later in 2026, the new look will expand to the Discovery Series, the brand’s single barrel program, and its collaborations.
Coinciding with the packaging update, a new single barrel expression will be added to the brand’s by-the-barrel program for retail partners.
Barrel buyers will now be able to select a Wheated Bourbon, made from the same 20% wheat mash bill as the brand’s Bottled-in-Bond expression, in addition to the existing Kentucky Straight Bourbon and Rye whiskeys.
The company stated the changes reaffirm its commitment to innovation while maintaining product quality.
“The labels have changed. The standards haven’t,” said Dan Callaway, master blender. “Inside these beautiful bottles is the same award-winning whiskey – the consistent quality that defines our pursuit of what’s possible.”
