Augusta Distillery has expanded its core portfolio with two new cask-strength expressions: Small Batch Bourbon and Wheated Single Barrel Bourbon. Both bourbons are aged an average of seven years and are now available online, at the distillery in Augusta, Ky., and across the distillery’s 30-state distribution footprint.

The Small Batch Bourbon carries a suggested retail price of $59.99. The Wheated Single Barrel Bourbon is priced at $79.99.

Augusta Distillery Small Batch Bourbon is crafted from a curated selection of no more than eight barrels. The Wheated Single Barrel marks the distillery’s first wheated expression, replacing rye with wheat to deliver what the brand describes as a softer, rounder character.

“Like all Augusta Distillery expressions, these releases were built with purpose,” said Alex Castle, master distiller at Augusta Distillery. “Small Batch provides a dependable foundation for our portfolio, while the Wheated Single Barrel expands the conversation without compromising our standards.”

The official tasting notes from the brand describe the Small Batch as opening with caramel, dark cherry and baking spices on the nose, finishing with dark cherry, toffee and leather. The Wheated Single Barrel emphasizes stone fruit with a smooth, extended finish.

Both expressions were intentionally positioned as accessible entry points within the Augusta lineup. “We want these bottles opened, poured and enjoyed year-round,” Castle said.

Castle also noted the new releases hold their own in cocktail applications. “We see these as sipping-first bourbons that don’t disappear when thoughtfully mixed,” she said. “The Small Batch has enough depth and proof to hold up beautifully in spirit-forward cocktails, and the Wheated Single Barrel works exceptionally well in classics like an Old Fashioned or Boulevardier.”

The launches sit alongside Augusta Distillery’s existing range, which includes Old Route 8 and the award-winning limited releases Buckner’s 10, Buckner’s 13, Buckner’s 15 and Buckner’s 17. All of the distillery’s Kentucky straight bourbons are bottled at cask strength and unfiltered.

Augusta Distillery is housed in a restored late-1800s factory building along the Ohio River in Augusta, Ky. The facility operates two 35-foot Vendome copper column stills with an annual production capacity of approximately 14,000 barrels.
