Angel’s Envy has announced its 2026 dual release, featuring the brand’s first-ever age-stated Cask Strength Straight Rye Whiskey aged 10 years alongside its annual Cask Strength Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey finished in port wine barrels. Both expressions, crafted by master distiller Owen Martin, will launch on April 17 during Derby season.
Limited quantities of the two releases will be available online, at Angel’s Envy’s Louisville distillery, and through select retailers nationwide.
The Cask Strength Straight Rye Whiskey marks a milestone for the brand as its inaugural age-stated rye expression. The liquid was aged in both oak and Caribbean rum casks for a combined 10 years and is bottled at 111.6 proof (55.8% ABV).

READ THE STORYBoth expressions are double-matured, a hallmark technique that has defined Angel’s Envy since the brand’s founding. The Louisville-based distillery, originally launched in 2011 by the late Lincoln Henderson, has built its reputation on secondary cask finishing as a core part of its production philosophy.
Angel’s Envy became part of the Bacardi portfolio in 2015, and the brand has since expanded its distillery operations in downtown Louisville. Its annual cask strength releases have become highly anticipated limited editions within the American whiskey category, frequently drawing significant consumer demand upon release.
The dual launch during Kentucky Derby season aligns with a broader tradition among Kentucky-based distilleries of timing premium releases to coincide with the state’s most prominent cultural event. Derby season has become a key commercial window for bourbon brands seeking heightened visibility with both collectors and casual enthusiasts.
Pricing details for the 2026 dual release have not yet been disclosed.
