Blackberry is the newest of the bunch. Jack Daniel’s announced Tennessee Blackberry in 2025, bottled at 35% ABV and based on Old No.7 with added blackberry flavouring. It is aimed squarely at summer highballs and easy party drinks.
Best Upgrade Bottle
If you want a step up without leaving Jack Daniel’s behind, Gentleman Jack at Tesco for £20 is the one to reach for. It is still very recognisably Jack Daniel’s, but is positioned as a smoother, more polished version of Old No.7.
The key production difference is that Gentleman Jack is charcoal mellowed twice, once before maturation and again afterwards. That extra filtering is what gives it its softer character. It works well neat, over ice or with ginger ale.
Best Gift Or Collector Option
For a present, the Jack Daniel’s Old No.7 McLaren Edition at Tesco for £22 is worth a look, and it beats Amazon’s £23 listing. The appeal here is the McLaren and F1 limited-edition packaging rather than a different whiskey inside the bottle.
