GlenAllachie has today announced the completion of a rebrand, revitalizing the brand packaging and logo. According to Marketing Director Colette Savage, the project’s aim is “to modernise, premiumise and refine the brand, bringing the packaging in line with the quality inside the bottle”.

The Speyside Distillery, headed by scotch whisky veteran Billy Walker, has unveiled images of its core range bottlings comprising a 10 year old, a 12 year old, a 15 year old, and an 18 year old.

Scottish design agency, Threebrand, was commissioned to design the new look. The agency took inspiration from GlenAllachie’s unique design features, including the characteristic slant in the gabled roof. This is also said to represent the distillery’s upward trajectory, as global demand for GlenAllachie scotch continues to rise.

The GlenAllachie logo has also been redesigned, as well as the tagline “whisky in good hands” being developed, paying tribute to Billy Walker, who has more than 50 years of experience in the industry.

GlenAllachie Distillery

Since GlenAllachie unveiled its core range in 2018, following its purchase by Billy Walker the year prior, the distillery has seen increasing year-on-year sales. As such, there is growing global confidence in the stability of the brand, something that is echoed in the rebrand.

Gary Fortune-Smith, Managing Director at Threebrand, said “[t]his was a carefully considered rebrand journey. The GlenAllachie has a fiercely loyal consumer base, who are not to be lost in the process, whilst the brand strives to reach new ‘whisky explorers’ by better visually reflecting the superb quality of their liquids”.

GlenAllachie has also renewed its commitment to eco-friendliness, having used materials that were sustainably sourced for its new packaging. In addition, UK-based suppliers were used as well as Threebrand, which is based in Edinburgh.

The core range bottlings (10, 12, 15 and 18 year olds) complete with the new packaging design are available to purchase from today. The rejuvenated GlenAllachie 30 Year Old is expected to be released next month.

Furthermore, GlenAllachie has announced its intention to “streamline the portfolio”, with limited edition series bottlings to be released as part of The Wood Collection. Again, the newest additions to the collection will be unveiled in March 2024.

About GlenAllachie Distillery

Established in 1967 by Mackinlay McPherson and later bought by Invergordon Distillers in 1985, GlenAllachie Distillery was predominantly used for blending by past owner Chivas Brothers. However, the distillery’s story pivoted in 2017 when industry veterans Billy Walker, Trisha Savage, and Graham Stevenson acquired it, bringing over a century of combined experience to the table.

Since 2018, under the leadership of master distiller Billy Walker, GlenAllachie has been carving out a name for itself as a producer of single malt scotch whisky. Fueled by Walker’s half-century experience and the team’s dedication, GlenAllachie is emerging as a significant player in the whisky industry. The brand’s journey has been marked by a focus on quality, craftsmanship, and showcasing the unique character of its Speyside location.
