Tasting Notes

About:

The 10 Year Old edition of the famous Kentucky maker. The high-rye bourbon is bottled at 40%.
Appearance:
Crystal Toffee
Nose:
Sea tar, very ripe pineapple, burnt sugar.
Palate:
No mistaking the rye on the first sip, and it brings with it classic rye heat. But that softens to a mildly sweet brown sugary puddle, a woodworking table, a slow lingering warmth.
Finish:
Long long, sweet, woody, and light on the tongue.
Comments:
If you like the rye you could do far worse; the extended aging accentuates the flavors of the classic profile found in their standard release.
