Nose:
Sweet aromas of salt, toffee, buttery roasted corn, caramel apple and crisp kettle chips permeate the nose along with hints of red fruits and fresh mint leaves.
Palate:
On the palate are flavor notes of toasted grain, malt, oak, tobacco, green grass, black pepper, and a touch of smoke.
Finish:
Comments:
With its mouth-watering subtle, buttery sweet and salty aromas, this straight rye whiskey is a medley of delicious state fair-like food flavors along with those familiar notes of musty barnyard, raw grain, and dry hay. The texture is smooth and slightly grainy, extending into a medium to long finish that’s earthy with a hint of autumn leaves. The robust flavor profile holds up well on ice.
