The Epicurean’s Home City Of Glasgow Celebrated With New Limited Release

Lowland Malt Scotch whisky brand The Epicurean recently introduced the latest release dedicated to “his” home city of Glasgow, which is also home to the family-owned parent company, Douglas Laing & Co.

A statement from Douglas Laing notes this limited-edition expression blends single cask single malts from the Lowland region of Scotland, then finishes them in French ex-cuvée oak casks.

The whisky comes bottled at a cask strength of 50.4% ABV, and it’s limited to 5,100 bottles globally.

The prepared statement describes “The Epicurean” as “the life and soul of the party and a connoisseur of fine food and drink.” They’ve designed this bottle to embody that, as it comes in black with gold foil detailing and packaged in a gift tube.

The tasting notes show the whisky to have a burst of malted barley, vanilla blossom and lemon zest.

Scott Morrison, brand manager, said this latest Epicurean Glasgow Edition is one they are particularly proud of. “The unique finish is a first for the Douglas Laing team and is a credit to the continuous innovation and quality we strive to achieve. The eclectic array of flavors imparted from the French ex-cuvée oak casks combined with the exceptional packaging make this release one not to be missed.”

The Epicurean Glasgow Limited Edition is available from specialist whisky retailers globally, as well as online. It has a suggested retail price of £55.00 / €64.00.For more information, check out www.douglaslaing.com.
