Label 5 blended Scotch whisky, led by the well established Classic Black, is a popular whisky brand the world over. It is being joined now by Gold Heritage, a slightly more premium offering over the Black expression.
Label 5 Gold Heritage, pricing around $40, will initially be available in the U.S., China and Australia. It is an blend of Scotch whisky that includes malts aged more than 20 years, according to those behind it. There was no immediate mention of which distilleries contributed whisky to the mix.

Nose:Â Subtle spice, cinnamon infused blackcurrants combined with creamy vanilla ice cream
Palate: A superb combination of rich sweet oak and toasted spices laced with the slightest hint of peat smoke
Finish:Â Â Satisfyingly long and smooth
