Johnnie Walker Blue Label Gets The Texas Treatment

Johnnie Walker continues to expand its Blue Label “Cities” series, which currently includes New York, California, Miami, Las Vegas, Washington D.C., and Chicago.

A statement from the Scotch whisky maker noted that they’ve recently added a Blue Label Limited Edition bottle design that pays homage to the Lone Star State of Texas.

Johnnie Walker officials explained that the design for this new bottle, and its packaging, is inspired by various state treasures of Texas. The design elements include bluebonnets (the state flower), a rodeo, prickly pears, and a desert scene. There’s also a fictional “Keep Walking” ranch with longhorn cattle on the grassy plains.

The whisky itself is a blend made from the iconic brand’s rarest Scotch casks. The distiller’s notes show that on the nose, Blue Label offers waves of spice then vanilla and honey. On the palate, it tastes of caramel and hazelnuts with dark chocolate. It finishes long and warm, with a hint of smoke.

Johnnie Walker Blue Label whisky garnered a Gold medal at the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

The Blue Label Texas Limited Edition clocks in at 40% ABV and is available now at spirits retailers and online at ReserveBar.com. It has a suggested retail price of $249.99.
