Glen Grant is a Scotch whisky distillery out of the Speyside region with a long history of producing solid bottlings. First founded in 1840, it is currently owned by Campari. It has a very limited footprint here in the United States, being more popular over in Europe. It is looking now to raise its exposure even more, debuting both a brand overhaul and three new age statement bottlings as part of its core line up.
Set to debut this month are the Glen Grant 12-Year-Old, 12 Non Chill-Filtered, and 18-Year-Old expressions. All three look to be targeted as entry level whiskies for a portfolio normally more high end in nature. They all feature a new color palette, making it easier to tell the different bottlings apart.
We’ve put official tasting notes from Glen Grant for all three releases below. Should you want to pick up a bottle overseas, expect to pay around £37, or about $55 USD, for both the 12-year-olds. The 18-year-old, meanwhile, will retail at £110, or about $160 USD.
“We are extremely proud of our new look which perfectly represents the passion, craftsmanship and family heritage of Glen Grant, while staying true to our Scottish heritage,” said Jason Daniel, Global Categories Director of whiskies at Gruppo Campari, in a statement. “We are confident that through our unique quality and history, our new aged range of products will prove extremely popular with our consumers.”
