Wyoming Whiskey Introduces Another Single Barrel Bourbon Run

Wyoming Whiskey has become known in some craft whiskey circles for putting out some quality bourbon. One of its more popular bottlings is the single barrel expression, which reportedly sold out the first time around back in 2015 before bottles could even hit store shelves. The distillery is back now with another run of it.

The latest Wyoming Whiskey Single Barrel Bourbon, according to those behind it, is drawn from a total of twelve barrels which represent the top 1% of the bourbon produced by the distillery. What’s being released this time is more than double the total of what came out a few years back, with around 400 cases being released.

This bourbon, which will price around $60 per bottle, is being made available throughout Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Wisconsin and Wyoming. We reviewed a bottle from barrel 841 in a previous release, finding it at the time to be a step above many comparable craft whiskeys because of its age – around five years – and use of large format barrels for aging. Given this new batch falls into similar criteria, it is quite likely Wyoming Whiskey will have another winner on its hands.

While every barrel can be different somewhat in tasting profile, Wyoming has provided official tasting notes for single barrel #850 for your consideration.
