New York Mets, Hudson Whiskey Partner On ‘Official Bourbon Of The Mets’

New York’s Hudson Whiskey has announced a new, limited-edition release along with its new working partnership with baseball’s New York Mets.

The Empire State duo teamed up on this new, limited-edition bottling of Hudson’s “Bright Lights, Big Bourbon,” tagging it the “Official Bourbon of the Mets.”

A statement from Hudson’s noted this whiskey is crafted and bottled in New York’s Hudson Valley, and it’s a grain-forward straight bourbon bottled at 92 proof, 46% ABV.

The whiskey was distilled from New York corn, rye, and barley and aged in new charred American oak barrels for at least three years.

Now carrying the moniker of Official Bourbon of The Mets, the tasting notes show the whiskey to have notes of vanilla and lightly salted caramel on the finish.

All of Hudson’s whiskey variants are made from ingredients grown on family farms in the Hudson Valley.

The limited-edition bottle is available at select retailers in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut with a suggested price of $39.99 for a 750ml bottle.

The new, three-year partnership between the New York Mets and William Grant & Sons USA (Hudson’s parent company) started on Major League Baseball’s opening day, with the portfolio of spirits available for purchase at Citi Field for fans throughout the baseball season.

Specific locations in the ballpark have customized branding with whiskey offerings from William Grant & Sons, including The Cadillac Club at Payson’s, which houses a Hendrick’s Gin bar, Hudson Whiskey NY Club, Tullamore D.E.W. Centerfield Bar, and two new portable bars from Monkey Shoulder and Hudson Whiskey.

“Embracing the cherished pastime of baseball as an iconic tradition deeply rooted in American culture, we’ve set out to create a premium ballpark experience that pays homage to its timeless legacy,” said Jeff Deline, Mets executive vice president and chief revenue officer. “Recognizing the need for a spirits partner with the same commitment to excellence and heritage, we proudly join forces with William Grant & Sons USA. Together, we aim to elevate our fans’ journey at our top-of-the-line amenities with an outstanding selection of spirits that mirror the timeless essence of America’s favorite game.”

Paul Basford, president of William Grant & Sons, said they’re honored to have the opportunity to bring their portfolio to Citi Field. “We hope fans deepen their connection with our esteemed brands and build new traditions with our offerings, whether cheering on The Mets both at the ballpark or with a bottle of our co-branded Hudson Whiskey at home this season.”
