Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon C923 Edition Hits The Market

Recently launched onto the bourbon market by Heaven Hill is the C923 edition of Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon. This is the third and final Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Release for 2023, marking the end of the eleventh year for the brand’s Barrel Proof line.

At 133.0 proof, C923 will show an age statement of 13 years, 7 months. As a reminder, the age statement represents the youngest barrel in the batch and will vary from edition to edition. C923 follows the B523 release, which held an age statement of 11 years, 5 months.

Each batch of Elijah Craig Barrel Proof has what’s described as its own unique taste profile, proof and age statement which retain “the extra-aged characteristic the brand is known for.”

It is non-chill-filtered and uncut to preserve all the natural esters and taste components from the barrels to the bottle. As for understanding the numbering of the label, the batch number provides specific information about each batch. The first letter
indicates the order of the release for that year, starting with “A.” The first number represents the month of the release. The third and fourth digits indicate the year.

Elijah Craig Barrel Proof C923 is available nationwide for $74.99. Future releases in the Elijah Craig Barrel Proof line are expected in early 2024.
