Eight Oaks’ Veterans Cut Bourbon Now Year Round to Help Veterans

Eight Oaks Distillery’s bottled-in-bond bourbon, called Veterans Cut, is now available to buy all year long.

A statement from the distillery notes that the first version of Veterans Cut, released in November of 2020, sold out in less than five minutes. A Memorial Day version came next, and since then, the whiskey maker has alternated between Veterans Day and Memorial Day for this special release.

Proceeds from the whiskey’s sales throughout the year goes to support the Pennsylvania Veteran Farming Network.

“This is a great bourbon, and we’re proud to now offer it regularly at our Farm Distillery and Kitchen, Allentown Fairgrounds Farmers Market, and online,” said Eight Oaks founder & CEO Chad Butters.

Eight Oaks Veterans Cut Bottled-in-Bond Whiskey is double distilled and aged nearly five years in a hand-selected white oak barrel. The whiskey clocks in at 100 proof and features notes of vanilla and honey, a touch of smoke, and a slightly peaty finish with notes of spice and dried cherry.

Each Veterans Cut bourbon barrel is signed by several soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines from around the U.S.

Caitlin Fenstermacher, director of distillery operations and head distiller, said, “This bourbon was worth the wait and we’re excited to be at a point where we can keep older vintages on the shelves all year round.”

Eight Oaks is a veteran-owned, family-run, farm and craft distillery located in the rolling farmlands of Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley. For more information or to find a bottle of Veterans Cut, which has a suggested price of $79.99, check out www.eightoaksdistilleryshop.com.
