Whiskey lovers and cigar enthusiasts unite! Cohiba recently launched Weller by Cohiba, said to be the first Cohiba cigar to be created expressly for pairing with a fine spirit.
“We blended Weller by Cohiba to be the ultimate cigar for spirits connoisseurs. The experience is rich and layered, imparting notes of cocoa, espresso and leather on the palate before cascading to a luxurious finish,” Sean Williams, Cohiba Brand Ambassador, said in a prepared statement. “While the depth and complexity of this cigar make it the ideal choice for pairing with your favorite spirit, Weller by Cohiba is equally as extraordinary when savored on its own.”
Weller by Cohiba is a limited edition release, and the company will not disclose how many cigars are being produced by the General Cigar Dominicana in Santiago, Dominican Republic. The blend will be launched in one size, 5 ½ x 50 Robusto featuring Cohiba and Weller Bourbon branding elements and presented in a glass tube.
The cigar will be sold at a suggested retail price of $19.99 USD per cigar or $199.90 for a box containing 10 cigars. The release will be available through fine cigar shops across the U.S. and began shipping to select retailers on July 1.
