Said to herald from “an original family recipe,” the Brown Jug Bourbon Cream Liqueur is described as “a balanced blend of real dairy cream, bourbon, some special spices and then a dash of maple syrup.” It was created by those behind it after 18 months of experimentation, resulting in a rather unique 34 proof whiskey liqueur that will do well iced on its own or as a choice ingredient for something like an adult bourbon milkshake, among other drink choices (I’ve included a recipe for the milkshake at the end of this story that’s courtesy of Brown Jug).
Priced around $22 each, this new spirit comes in a distinctive old-fashioned style brown glass bottle. It is just starting to come to market now in a few places, so hopefully you can get your hands on one before the heat of the summer drops off if this type of drink is something you are into.
