Brother’s Bond Bourbon, founded by actors and close friends Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder, is expanding its portfolio with two new expressions.
A recent statement from the whiskey brand announced Brother’s Bond American Blended Rye and Brother’s Bond Cask Strength is now heading to liquor store shelves.
Brother’s Bond, which launched in 2021, is distilled and aged in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. The growing brand has now shipped nearly 100,00 cases across the U.S.
The new Brother’s Bond American Blended Rye Whiskey clocks in at 47.5% ABV and has a suggested price of $59.99. Brother’s Bond Cask Strength Bourbon comes in at 57.5% ABV and has a suggested price of $84.99. They’re both now available online and at retailers nationwide.
The brand’s notes show that Brother’s Bond Bourbon American Blended Rye Whiskey uses a four-grain mash bill that creates a complex spirit with a long finish.
The Original Cask Strength offers a higher ABV, this release coming in at 115.1 proof, and offers a deeper, more complex taste. It’s batch-barrel blended from three bourbon mash bills out of 70 hand-picked barrels.
“We’ve been dedicated to the growth of Brother’s Bond Bourbon since its inception, and the new release of our Cask Strength and launch of our Rye Whiskey is proof that we’ve established our place in the industry and can compete with top distillers,” said Paul Wesley, co-founder.
Co-Founder Ian Somerhalder noted that they’ve put a great deal of passion and hard work into the expansion of this portfolio. “As we were hand selecting the three unique mash bills, we wanted to push the limits with more robust and dynamic flavors and match the richness of our Original Cask Strength bourbon. We also knew that we had to create a rye like no other that will continue to develop consumer palates as they dive deeper into the whiskey world.”
