Lux Row Distillers Introduces Rebel 100 Rye

Lux Row Distillers recently added to its Rebel brand family, the Rebel 100 Straight Rye Whiskey.

A statement from the whiskey maker shows that Rebel 100 Rye will hit retail shelves across the U.S. later in March, and carries a suggested retail price of $19.99 per 750 ml bottle.

The distiller’s notes explain that Rebel 100 Straight Rye Whiskey features a mash bill of 51% rye, 45% corn and 4% malt. It clocks in at 100 proof, and on the nose, it features a rich rye flavor balanced by hints of vanilla.

“Based on the continued success of both Rebel 100 Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, we’ve elevated the proof of its rye counterpart,” said Eric Winter, brand manager for Rebel, in the prepared statement.

Rebel’s parent company LuxCo was founded in St. Louis in 1958 by the Lux Family, and today is a producer, supplier, importer and bottler of beverage alcohol products. The company merrged with MGP Ingredients in 2021, and operates as MGP’s Brands Division.

Their portfolio includes brands from four distilleries that include Bardstown, Kentucky-based Lux Row Distillers, home of Ezra Brooks, Rebel, and Blood Oath; Lebanon, Kentucky-based Limestone Branch Distillery, maker of Yellowstone Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey and Minor Case Straight Rye Whiskey; and Ross & Squibb Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, where George Remus Straight Bourbon Whiskey and Rossville Union Straight Rye Whiskey are made.
