Jack Daniel’s Enters American Single Malt Segment

Legacy Tennessee whiskey brand Jack Daniel’s recently decided to branch out in a new direction, debuting a new American single malt with a decidedly J.D. spin.

The new Jack Daniel’s American Single Malt, according to those behind it, begins with 100% malted barley that is ground, fermented and distilled at the Jack Daniel Distillery. The whiskey passes through Jack Daniel’s traditional charcoal mellowing process and is then matured in new, charred American white oak barrels for at least four years. It is then finished for an additional two years in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks from the Antonio Paez Lobato Cooperage before bottling at cask proof.

For those immediately looking to seek this out, note it will not be available until June 2023, and then only as a travel retail exclusive on shelves in key international airport locations.
