Hooten Young Teams With The Terminal List Author On 16 Year Old Whiskey

Veteran-founded whiskey and cigar brand, Hooten Young, recently collaborated with a former Navy Seal and best-selling author to launch a 16-year-old whiskey.

Teaming up with Jack Carr, New York Times best selling author of The Terminal List, the whiskey and cigar brand’s newest product is called the Hooten Young & Jack Carr Warrior Proof American Whiskey.

A statement from the Hooten Young brand notes that after being featured on Episode 1 of The Terminal List’s book-turned-series on Amazon Prime, Hooten Young officials realized it was the start of a new partnership.

And with the support of Jack Carr and MGP Distillery, they created a whiskey bottled straight from the barrel.

Warrior Proof clocks in at 125 proof, and is an American whiskey made from 99% corn and 1% barley. The distiller’s notes show that with this high corn percentage, the high-proof whiskey is made smoother and sweeter, rounded out by notes of clove and baked apple.

Warrior Proof comes packaged in a keepsake bottle that features the branding of Hooten Young and Jack Carr.

The new whiskey is available in limited quantities at shop.hootenyoung.com, and in select Texas, California, and Florida liquor stores.

Hooten Young was founded by Tim Young and Norm Hooten, special Mission Unit Member and real-life “Hoot” from the movie Black Hawk Down, which depicted the Battle of Mogadishu.

Hooten Young created its cigars and whiskey as a tribute to the men and women of the armed forces who have gone above and beyond the call of duty.
