Fireball Dragnum, A New Way For A Celebratory Drink?

Fireball is putting a twist on the celebratory drink. The cinnamon whisky brand recently introduced Fireball Dragnum, something from the iconic shot maker to spice things up.

A statement from Fireball explains that Dragnum is a champagne-inspired creation in a familiar, New Year’s Eve-toasting style. Looks like a bubbly, if you will.

It doesn’t taste like sparkling wine, however. Inside the Fireball Dragnum bottle is the classic Fireball whisky. The statement noted that the “sophisticated packaging” involves the Fireball logo, cork-inspired topper, classic wire cage, and crinkled foil wrap.

Now the big question. Why?

Fireball’s Danny Suich said they figured that, if given the choice, fans would “reach for a magnum of Fireball – a Dragnum – over a magnum of the same old, same old to ignite holiday festivities.”

But, he added, “We also wanted to up the fancy factor a bit to help make the season feel extra special. Because an epic celebration deserves something spicier than usual.”

Fireball Dragnum is a 1.75L bottle of Fireball, and clocks in at 33% ABV. It has a suggested price of $24.99, and began rolling out to stores in late August.
