Tasting Notes

About:

The flagship release of Old Pulteney that has captivated us at one point or another.
Appearance:
Light Gold
Nose:
Glacier ice mints, vanilla pod, cream slices, white grapes, gentle saltiness, powdered sugar, green apples and pastry.
Palate:
Fresh, very bright with a cooling element to it that really shows off those sweet, minty notes. Banana milkshake, strawberry sauce, pears and white chocolate
Finish:
There’s a real liveliness to it, it’s been a while since I’ve had this. A gentle spiciness of soft oak, baked lemon, sea salt and some lime juice as well.
Comments:
It’s a pretty solid bottle of single malt, there’s no denying that. It isn’t complex, but it has some unique character to it that will always occupy us.

Editor’s Note: This whiskey was either bought as a sample by The Whiskey Wash or provided to us as a review sample by the party behind it. Per our editorial policies, this in no way influenced the outcome of this review.
