A new $355 collaboration between California’s Wolves and Kentucky’s Willett Family Estate brings together two distinct American whiskey traditions in a limited-edition 10-year rye blend.

The third installment in their partnership series represents the only age-statement release from the collaboration. The blend combines hand-selected Kentucky rye barrels from Willett with Wolves’ Indiana rye that underwent additional finishing in Northern California.

Wolves Whiskey Blends California Innovation with Kentucky Heritage

The unique aging process distinguishes this release from typical rye whiskeys. Wolves Head Blender Eddie Gonzalez selected 10-year-old rye that aged for seven years in Indiana before completing its maturation with three years in Northern California. This multi-state aging approach softens the characteristic rye spice while developing complex flavor layers.

“Partnering with Willett on this release has been an honor,” says Jennifer Marks, President of Wolves. “This rare blend reflects our shared dedication to craftsmanship and bridges two distinct whiskey traditions, combining Willett’s storied Kentucky legacy with Wolves’ modern California perspective.”

The resulting whiskey presents bright notes of orange, caramel, and baking spices. Drinkers will find gingerbread, tobacco, and toasted nuts on the palate, followed by a long finish featuring vanilla, caramel sweetness, and spice.

Willett Family Estate Partnership Yields Premium Price Point

The 103-proof whiskey carries a price of $355 for a 750ml bottle, reflecting both the age statement and the prestigious collaboration. The packaging incorporates Willett’s signature bird and crown emblem, a symbol that first appeared in London’s Pewter’s Hall in 1684.

This marks a significant release for Wolves, a luxury California whiskey brand that has built its reputation on innovation in the American Single Malt category. The partnership with Willett Family Estate, one of Kentucky’s most respected whiskey producers, demonstrates the growing trend of cross-regional collaborations in American whiskey.

The limited-edition bottle is available exclusively through the Wolves website at wolveswhiskeyca.com while supplies last.
