Unreined Whiskey will open its visitor’s center and rickhouse at WildHorse Ranch in College Station, Texas, on Saturday 8 August 2026. The facility marks the official whiskey of Texas A&M Athletics bringing a full bourbon experience to the state.

The four-story, 30,000-square-foot facility combines production, hospitality, and experiential design under one roof. It is based on traditional Kentucky-styled rickhouses, where spirits are stored and aged. Guests will be able to step inside and experience the aging environment firsthand.

“Our goal is simple, to age exceptional whiskey in Texas while creating an experience that rivals the best distilleries in the country,” said Nelson Ingram, chief marketing officer and blender.

Ingram added that the site offers ideal conditions for maturation. “WildHorse Ranch offers the ideal environment with a unique combination of temperature and humidity that allows our whiskey to develop rich, complex character.”

The rickhouse is engineered to optimize airflow and aging conditions. Buzick Construction of Bardstown, Kentucky, built the structure, while Louisville firm Joseph & Joseph handled the design. A custom art installation by Houston-based artist Jesse de Leon also features at the site.

Local tourism officials welcomed the opening. “Unreined is exactly the kind of authentic, only-here experience we love to see in College Station,” said Jeremiah Cook, assistant director of tourism at Visit College Station.

Cook pointed to the wider economic benefits. “New attractions like this give visitors more reasons to stay and explore — and that translates into real economic impact for our city, supporting local businesses and strengthening tourism across the region.”

Visitors can enjoy guided tours, curated tastings, watch parties, private events, and a speakeasy-style lounge.

The brand has also partnered with restaurateur John Harvey Slocum to offer farm-to-table bison burgers sourced from WildHorse Ranch, alongside tallow fries and cocktails.

Debuting with the opening is Unreined Wheated Bourbon, a seven-year blend of straight wheated bourbons distilled in Kentucky and Texas at 104.2 proof.

From 8 August, Unreined will open to the public Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 12pm to 5pm, and Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 11am to 9pm.
