Two Stacks is promoting its The First Cut Signature Blend Dram in a Can as a St. Patrick’s Day serve, positioning the 100ml format as a portable way to drink Irish whiskey. The Belfast-based brand said the 86-proof expression is made at Great Northern Distillery and blended in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

The company described the release as “a modern take on Irish Whiskey” that “delivers big flavor in a 100ml format.”

Two Stacks said it works with “more than 17 distilleries across the island of Ireland,” naming Killowen Distillery, Boann Distillery, Adara Distillery, Dingle Distillery, and Echlinville Distillery as partners. The brand added that the approach aims to show “the true diversity of modern Irish whiskey.”

READ THE STORY

Two Stacks was founded in 2020 by Shane McCarthy, Liam Brogan and Donal McLynn, who said their “singular goal” was “changing the narrative on Irish Whiskey” by “reaching into Ireland’s deep whiskey roots and putting real people back into the fine art of Irish Whiskey making to create complex, sophisticated blends capable of challenging any Whiskey in the world.”

For St. Patrick’s Day, the company is also pushing serves built around The First Cut Signature Blend. It suggested a “proper Belfast celebration” via a “Belfast Boilermaker,” which it described as: “Take a shot (or crack a chilled Dram in a Can) of Two Stacks The First Cut Signature Blend. Follow with an Irish stout of your choice.” Two Stacks claimed: “The rich, roasted notes of stout amplify the whiskey’s orchard fruit, sweetness and warming spice, creating a smooth, satisfying one/two punch.”

A second serve is a Two Stacks Irish Cold Brew Cocktail, built with 1oz Two Stacks First Cut Signature Blend Irish Whiskey, 4.5oz cold brew coffee, and 0.5oz demerara-based simple syrup, topped with “a splash of the Irish cream liqueur.” The recipe specifies Two Stacks Double Irish Cream Liqueur and instructs drinkers to “add ice, whiskey, coffee, and simple syrup to an Irish coffee mug and gently stir before topping with a splash of the Irish cream liqueur.”

Beyond the can, The First Cut Signature Blend is also sold in a 700ml bottle “made from 100% recycled glass” with an MSRP of $37.99. The 100ml Dram in a Can has an MSRP of $4.99. Two Stacks said the “recyclable aluminum can provides added convenience for those wanting to enjoy a high-quality whiskey on the go.”

Both formats are available via the brand’s website at https://twostackswhiskey.com/.
