The Macallan has released Distil Your World Paris, the fifth single malt Scotch whisky in its globe-spanning Distil Your World series, priced at $4,750. The Paris edition follows previous installments dedicated to New York, London, Mexico, and Hong Kong. Each release is produced in collaboration with the Roca brothers, owners of El Celler de Can Roca, twice named World’s Best Restaurant.

Campbell created the whisky to celebrate l’art de la table, the French tradition of refined dining that encompasses ingredients, provenance, preparation, setting, and ambiance. The liquid was matured in a combination of American sherry-seasoned oak casks, European sherry-seasoned oak casks, and ex-Bourbon casks.
Rare Cognac casks, unique to this release, were also used to add a final layer of character. The whisky is bottled at 47.2% ABV.
Kirsteen Campbell, Master Whisky Maker at The Macallan, said: “The Macallan has always been rooted in storytelling, and every creation we craft carries its own. This Distil Your World edition feels especially meaningful to me because of the experiences, sights and emotions I brought back from Paris.”
She added: “In building its flavors, I layered new ideas over the signature character of The Macallan to create something familiar, yet a little unexpected. I took a piece of Paris home with me — and this release is my personal interpretation of that journey.”
Official tasting notes from the brand describe almond croissants, rose aroma, sweet nectarines, sandalwood, and vanilla pods on the nose. The palate offers buttered pastry, brioche, peach melba, mille-feuille, and toasted oak. The finish features gentle spices and warm oak.
The whisky’s natural color has been named Parisian Sunrise, inspired by the first light seen from Montmartre. Its presentation box features a “street yellow” exterior, a nod to the city’s iconic street lighting.
Paris-based artist Cassandre Montoriol created the inner artwork. Her gouache illustrations depict a lively table d’hôte scene on a Parisian street. The outer packaging features a map tracing Campbell’s journey through the city, with key locations rendered in sculptural detail.
A documentary film accompanies the launch. Led by Campbell and Joan Roca of El Celler de Can Roca, the film follows encounters with Parisian artisans and chefs, including Chef Anne-Sophie Pic, Artisanal Baker Apollonia Poilâne, and menu collector Jérôme Dumant.
Joan Roca, Chef and collaborator, commented: “Our challenge was to create a menu inspired by the essence of Paris — an experience where French haute cuisine meets l’art de vivre and l’art de la table. With 44,000 restaurants and the highest number of three-Michelin-star establishments, Paris reflects the quality, commitment to excellence, and elegance of French gastronomy.”
He continued: “Every journey leaves a lasting impression, and this one was especially memorable thanks to the incredible hospitality of Anne-Sophie Pic.”
From February 26, 2026, a select number of bottles will be available exclusively to members of The Macallan Society. Wider availability at select national and local U.S. retailers will follow from April 2026.
The Macallan, owned by Edrington, has operated from its 485-acre Speyside estate since 1824. The Distil Your World series has become one of the brand’s most high-profile limited-edition programs, pairing whisky making with cultural exploration in cities around the world.
