Bottle #24 Ardnamurchan comes from Ardnamurchan Distillery, located on Scotland’s rugged west coast. The release marks just the third Scottish distillery collaboration within The Heart Cut’s portfolio. It follows previous partnerships with new wave producers Nc’nean and Lochlea.

According to the official notes from the brand, the whisky combines gentle peat smoke with bright citrus, dried apricot, olive brine and a distinctive coastal salinity. The bottler described this as “the character of a west coast single malt fully matured in the sweetest form of sherry casks.”

“Ardnamurchan is part of a new wave of Scottish distilleries choosing flavour over yield,” said Georgie, co-founder of The Heart Cut. “In its short life, it’s built the kind of cult following most distilleries take decades to grow — known above all for an oiliness of texture that’s highly sought after and adored.”

Georgie added: “We’ve wanted to collaborate since we launched The Heart Cut so it’s a big day to see it here and out in the world.”

To mark the launch, The Heart Cut partnered with Fin + Flounder, a fishmonger based at Broadway Market in London. The event took place on Saturday 11 July.

Dubbed “Spritz It, Slurp It, Sip It,” the day featured Ardnamurchan pocket pours available to add to oysters. The Heart Cut donated £2 from every pour to The Fishermen’s Mission.

Ardnamurchan Distillery was founded in 2014 by independent Scottish bottler Adelphi Distillery Ltd. It sits on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula, the most westerly point of the British mainland. The distillery runs almost entirely on local renewables, including hydro-electric, solar and biomass power.

Bottle #24 is available now at theheartcut.com. It can also be found through select trade partners, including The Hideout Bath, Spirited Bristol and The Spirits Room by Caviste.
