Scotch whisky producer The Glenturret has added a new 20 Years Old single malt to its Extremely Scarce Rollection. The Crieff-based distillery launched the 2026 release today (September 25), with the new whisky sitting alongside the returning 25 Years Old and 30 Years Old expressions.
The Glenturret 20 Years Old comes from four European oak casks. The distillery has limited it to 1,700 bottles worldwide, bottled at 47.6% ABV.
According to the official notes from the brand, pineapple and mango lead on the nose, with wood spices and a lift of ginger. Soft, mature oak sits in the background.

It will retail for £600 ($793.19, ₹76,046).
“The introduction of The Glenturret 20 Years Old to our 2026 Extremely Scarce Collection marks an exciting addition to this year’s annual release,” said John Laurie, managing director of The Glenturret. “Crafted from carefully laid-down stocks, it reflects the remarkable character that can emerge through time and considered maturation.”
Meanwhile, the 25 Years Old returns with just 210 bottles available worldwide. It matured in European sherry oak and is bottled at 40.2% ABV.
Official notes from the brand describe soft ginger cake, rich dried fruits, aged oak and gentle wood spices. Dark fruit compote, vanilla and clean oak lead to “a subtle, creamy finish.” It retails for $1,980 (£1,500 / ₹190,250).
At the top of the range, the 30 Years Old is the oldest whisky in the 2026 release. Only 75 bottles are available worldwide.
This expression is bottled at 40.1% ABV and costs $2,905 (£2,200 / ₹279,050). The brand’s official notes list citrus fruits, melon, sweet pineapple, caramelized ginger, cinnamon and dark cherries, followed by dried fruits, maturing oak and aniseed.
Both older whiskies are non-chill-filtered and natural in color. The distillery describes both as “cask strength.”
“We are delighted to welcome this expression to the collection, further showcasing the depth and diversity of our whisky range alongside our signature 25 Years Old and highly sought-after 30 Years Old, both of which remain integral to our extremely scarce collection,” said Laurie.
Buyers can purchase the collection online at theglenturret.com and at The Glenturret Distillery shop from today.
This launch follows the release of The Glenturret’s core range in August. That lineup includes Triple Wood, 12 Years Old and 15 Years Old.
Founded in 1763, The Glenturret calls itself “Scotland’s Oldest Working Distillery.” On March 28, 2019, Lalique Group completed the acquisition of 50% of Glenturret Distillery.
