The Scotch Whisky Experience in Edinburgh has unveiled a new Gold Chocolate & Whisky Tour running daily at 6:30 p.m. through July, adding an indulgent evening format to its flagship offering. The Edinburgh attraction is also hosting a one-day rugby legends event on Friday, March 6, in partnership with Speyside single malt brand Hirundine.
The new Gold Chocolate & Whisky Tour builds on the existing Gold Tour format by incorporating a dark chocolate pairing element. Each month, the attraction’s team selects a series of drams united by a unique theme, bringing fresh flavor profiles to every visit.
Following the tour, guests are seated in the McIntyre Gallery Bar for a guided tasting. One of the selected drams is paired with a dark chocolate from Edinburgh chocolatier Quirky Chocolate.

The experience is designed to celebrate the art of whisky and chocolate pairing and is bookable as the 18:30 Gold Tour.
On March 6, Silver and Gold Tour ticket holders will have the additional opportunity to meet three rugby figures during a special in-shop sampling hosted by Hirundine. The brand will bring former Scotland captain Stuart McInally, former French international Mathieu Bastareaud, and Scotland and British & Irish Lions player Hamish Watson to the venue across staggered sessions throughout the day.
McInally is scheduled to appear at 12:00 and 1:00 p.m., Bastareaud at 2:00 and 3:00 p.m., and Watson at 3:00 and 4:00 p.m., with additional Silver Tour slots running at regular intervals.
