Proper No. Twelve Pledges $300K to Fire Departments in 2026

Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey has announced the return of its One for All program for a second year, pledging an additional $300,000 to support underfunded fire departments across the United States. The announcement coincided with International Firefighters’ Day and builds on more than $5 million the brand has contributed to first responder causes since its launch.

The 2026 donation will be distributed among 24 fire departments and firefighter-focused organizations nationwide. Proper No. Twelve will also sponsor FDIC International, the largest annual fire and rescue convention, which draws more than 37,000 professionals each year.

The One for All program was created in response to widespread funding shortfalls across U.S. fire services. According to the brand, 72% of career and volunteer departments report insufficient resources to cover basic operations.

In its inaugural year, the program funded a range of critical purchases. Grants helped departments acquire training tools in Florida, water rescue equipment in California, a forcible entry door in Colorado, and personal protective equipment in Illinois.

Bradfordville Volunteer Fire Rescue in Florida used its 2025 grant to purchase a box for a training maze designed to help firefighters practice self-rescue when lost or disoriented. For 2026, the department plans to use the funding to acquire a thermal imaging camera.

The second year of the program will continue to address essential needs including safety equipment, facility upgrades, and community support initiatives across all 24 recipient departments.

Proper No. Twelve was founded by mixed martial arts fighter Conor McGregor and launched in 2018. The brand has made charitable giving to first responders a central pillar of its identity since inception. Its cumulative contributions now exceed $5 million, a figure the One for All program is designed to grow annually.

FDIC International, which the brand is sponsoring as part of this year’s commitment, takes place annually in Indianapolis and serves as a key gathering point for fire service professionals seeking training, education, and access to the latest equipment and technology.

The One for All program positions Proper No. Twelve among a growing number of spirits brands integrating sustained philanthropic efforts into their commercial strategies, reflecting broader industry trends toward purpose-driven marketing in the U.S. market.
