The site serves as a central hub for Dwyer’s growing portfolio of whisky-related offerings, including private tastings, event tastings, bar training, and brand consultancy.

“It’s finally here! We’ve worked for a few weeks to get this up and off the ground and it’s now here for your viewing pleasure,” said Phil Dwyer, founder of Whisky Wednesday.

The website features a calendar of upcoming tasting events, with a particular focus on the Manchester area and the wider UK. Events are expected to be listed as far in advance as possible, with tastings already being planned for June and July.

“Featuring a list of tasting events, the ability to work together, and articles published throughout my history, this is the perfect way to stay in touch with me,” Dwyer added. “We’ve also launched ‘Wednesday Dispatch’, a new series of weekly newsletters about what’s going on at WW HQ, as well as the wider whisky world.”

The Wednesday Dispatch newsletter aims to provide subscribers with regular updates on Dwyer’s activities alongside broader coverage of developments in the whisky category.

Dwyer brings a substantial track record to the venture. He is the former manager of The Whisky Shop in Manchester and has accumulated years of hands-on experience in the spirits retail sector. He has tasted over 1,000 whiskies, selected barrel picks, and hosted numerous private tastings throughout his career.

He is also a regular and valued contributor to The Whiskey Wash.

On the B2B side, the website outlines services aimed at drinks brands and hospitality businesses. These include consultancy on product launches, barrel selections, staff training, and general strategic advice.

For brands seeking authentic engagement with whisky enthusiasts, partnerships with trusted independent voices like Dwyer’s Whisky Wednesday continue to grow in relevance.
