Michter’s Distillery will ship the 2025 Edition of Michter’s Celebration Sour Mash Whiskey in February 2026, marking only the fifth release of this ultra-premium expression. The limited release comprises just 315 bottles worldwide, priced at $6,000 per bottle in the United States.

The 2025 Edition is bottled at 115.2 proof (57.6% ABV) and blends seven carefully selected barrels: four Kentucky Straight Rye barrels and three Kentucky Straight Bourbon barrels.

Master Distiller Dan McKee and Master of Maturation Andrea Wilson oversaw the selection process.

“Each release of Michter’s Celebration is truly unique and cannot be replicated,” said Michter’s President Joseph J. Magliocco. “This extraordinary whiskey is a symphony decades in the making.”

The blend contains whiskeys ranging from over 12 years to more than 30 years old.

“This is the third edition of Michter’s Celebration in my time as Master Distiller, and each release is one of a kind,” said McKee. “It’s remarkable how the oldest barrels contribute just the right amount of oak influence while leaving room for the delicate nuances of the other beautiful ryes and bourbons in the blend to shine.”

Master of Maturation Andrea Wilson emphasized the artistry behind the release. “To be part of creating Celebration is a tremendous honor,” Wilson observed. “The result is a composition of enchanting complexity, bold sophistication, and depth that echoes the timeless treasures of American whiskey.”

Each bottle comes in a special gift box containing a letter signed by McKee.

Michter’s first introduced Celebration Sour Mash in 2013, establishing a new tier in American whiskey with its multi-thousand-dollar price point.

In October 2025, Michter’s became the first whiskey to be named The World’s Most Admired Whiskey for three consecutive years by Drinks International.

Previous editions of Celebration have become highly sought-after among collectors and connoisseurs. The brand’s limited production approach focuses on aging each expression to what the distillery considers its peak maturity rather than targeting specific age statements.
