Freddie Noe, eighth-generation master distiller at the James B. Beam Distilling Company, has released the second edition of The Infinite, a new line extension within his Little Book Bourbon series. The exclusive, limited release continues the brand’s infinity bottle concept, featuring a unique blend of whiskeys distilled by three generations of the Noe family.
The Infinite series was created to deliver an ever-evolving blend, with a portion of the liquid bottled annually before new whiskeys are added to the batch for the following year’s release.
This second edition builds upon the foundation of the inaugural release by incorporating three distinct bourbons from across the Noe family lineage, as well as a portion of Little Book The Infinite: Edition I.
Freddie Noe’s component is an extended fermentation 7 year old bourbon. His father, Fred’s, bourbon was aged for 10 years. And Booker’s component is a 22 year old bourbon.
The Little Book brand, first launched in 2017, is Freddie Noe’s first signature product line and is known for its annual experimental blends.
“Building on the foundational notes of Edition I, I’ve blended in three distinct Bourbons from across the generations,” said Freddie Noe. “Bourbon from Booker accentuates the oak, char, and smoke. Fred’s Bourbon adds rich vanilla, caramel, and dark stone fruit.”
He continued: “And my own Bourbon brings brightness to the blend, with notes of fresh apple and pear. Savor Edition II and come back in a year for its next evolution.”
The resulting whiskey is bottled at 120.8 proof (60.40% ABV).
According to official notes from the brand, the whiskey has a “burnt copper glow” color. The aroma presents “crisp apple and pear mingled with caramel and char.”
The palate delivers “layers of vanilla, caramel, and apple” with “whispers of dark stone fruit,” leading to a “warm, lingering close with oak and smoke at the edges.”
Little Book The Infinite Edition II is available for a suggested retail price of $199.99.
