Koopers Whiskey has made its Barrel Reserve Bourbon available for online purchase for the first time, with direct shipping to eligible US states. The Texas-based blending house announced the move on July 21, 2026, following two years of the bottle being sold exclusively to visitors of its Ledbetter tasting room.
The release responds to sustained demand from customers who previously had to travel to the tasting room to buy the bourbon.

The wheated barrel-proof bourbon is made from a blend of two Kentucky straight bourbons sourced from Green River Distillery. The whiskeys were matured, blended, and bottled in Texas. Its mashbill comprises 70% corn, 21% wheat, and 9% malted barley, and the bourbon is bottled uncut at barrel proof.
“Barrel Reserve is about balance and creating the most sophisticated pour in our lineup,” said Troy Kooper, master blender at Koopers Whiskey. “We begin with a 6-year-old wheated bourbon and blend it with a 4-year-old rye-forward bourbon to bring added spice, structure, and layered complexity,” he said.

“After blending, we let the whiskey rest for several days before bottling it at barrel proof, allowing the flavors to marry naturally. The result is a bourbon that’s bold yet refined—smooth, nuanced, and beautifully balanced, never harsh or rushed.”
According to the official notes from the brand, the bourbon opens with aromas of toasted caramel, maple syrup, dark cherry, and citrus.

READ THE STORYThe palate reveals baked apples, cinnamon, caramel, licorice, and maple sweetness. The finish lingers with notes of crème brûlée, oak honey, cinnamon, and bright citrus.
Barrel Reserve Bourbon is now available through the Koopers Whiskey online store and continues to be sold in the tasting room. It carries a suggested retail price of $64 per 750ml bottle.
