Knobel Tennessee Whiskey has released a seven-year-old Single Barrel expression to celebrate 18 years of founder Mike Rowe’s mikeroweWORKS Foundation. The limited edition launched on 8 October 2026 and is available through the brand’s website at US$104.95 (£78 / ₹8,700) per 750ml bottle.

The whiskey is named the Knobel Single Barrel Tennessee Whiskey – 7-Year Special Edition (18th Anniversary mikeroweWORKS Foundation Release).

Drawn from just four barrels, the release is bottled between 121 and 121.7 proof. That equates to between 60.0% and 60.85% ABV.

How would you describe your whisky knowledge?

It is distilled in a true Tennessee style, being charcoal-filtered via the Lincoln County Process and aged in hand-toasted, new American oak barrels.

Rowe is best known as the creator and host of Discovery Channel’s Dirty Jobs. He founded the mikeroweWORKS Foundation to support training for in-demand skilled occupations.

The foundation and the whiskey are both loving tributes to his grandfather, Carl Knobel.

Proceeds from the single barrel release support the foundation. 100% of the online net proceeds from these limited edition products will benefit the mikeroweWORKS Foundation.

The milestone marks significant growth for the charity. To date, the organization has awarded $22.5 million in work-ethic scholarships to 3,350 individuals, representing a new wave of skilled workers in the largest trade scholarship program in the country.

“What a privilege it’s been, to have a TV show, a foundation, and now a whiskey all inspired by the same man,” said Rowe. “Especially one so ridiculously delicious!”

He added: “And what an honor it’s been to share my grandfather’s commitment to hard work with so many, along with his name, and his dedication to the skilled trades.”

Rowe also pointed to the brand’s ongoing role in funding scholarships. “The money we’ve raised through Knobel Tennessee Whiskey will continue to help pay for trade school scholarships all over the country, hopefully, for many years to come,” he said.

The brand sits within a wider portfolio. Founded by Denise Longarzo, Mike Rowe, Volker Schauz, and Mary Sullivan, Knobel Spirits LLC is the company behind Knobel Tennessee Whiskey and a growing collection of whiskey expressions.

That range includes a core Tennessee Whiskey, a Rickhouse Edition, and a Tennessee Straight Rye.

The anniversary bottling is available now via the Knobel Spirits online store.
