Knob Creek has released a 12 Year Old Cask Strength Kentucky Straight Bourbon, bottled at 121.2 proof (60.6% ABV). The limited-edition expression is available nationwide from The James B. Beam Distilling Co. for a recommended price of $89.99 per 750ml bottle.
The bourbon was matured for 12 years in charred American white oak barrels at the brand’s rickhouses in Clermont, Kentucky. It was hand-selected from just 10 distinct lots, then carefully batched and bottled at cask strength.
“Knob Creek has always been about giving great bourbon the time it deserves,” said Freddie Noe, eighth-generation master distiller at The James B. Beam Distilling Co. “After twelve years in the rickhouse, this batch had the depth and full flavor we were looking for, and we knew we wanted to share it exactly as it was.”

According to the official notes from the brand, the bourbon carries aromas of caramel, char and dried apple.
The palate offers “rich yet balanced flavors of butterscotch, dried apple and seasoned oak.” The finish is warm, with notes of caramel and subtle cinnamon.
Arriving in time for the holiday season, the release is positioned as a whiskey for gatherings and gifting.
