"The Jack Daniel’s Aged Series allows us to fully explore how time influences our classic Tennessee Whiskey recipe while staying true to the character Mr. Jack established generations ago," said Chris Fletcher, Master Distiller at the Jack Daniel Distillery.
"The feedback we continue to receive on the Aged Series has been overwhelming, and I’m excited for our friends to see how these new batches bring their own personality and subtle differences thanks to extended maturation," Fletcher added.
All three expressions begin with the distillery’s classic mash bill of 80% corn, 12% malted barley, and 8% rye. Each is mellowed through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal before aging in new American white oak barrels in Lynchburg, Tennessee. The bottles are offered in 700 mL format.
According to official tasting notes from the brand, the 14-Year-Old Batch 2, bottled at 117.6 proof (58.8% ABV), presents aromas of sweet bakery spices and molasses with layers of oak. The palate opens with cinnamon and creamy butterscotch, balanced by rich leather that lingers into aged oak and pipe tobacco.
The 12-Year-Old Batch 4, at 107 proof (53.5% ABV), features maple, brown sugar, graham cracker, subtle banana, and oak on the nose. Flavors of cinnamon, maple candy, caramel, and vanilla lead into a finish of dry oak and baking spices.
The 10-Year-Old Batch 5, at 97 proof (48.5% ABV), opens with aromas of cooked apple and caramel layered with soft oak. The palate reveals rich molasses, chocolate, and barrel spices, finishing long and warm.
Sweepstakes winners must appear in person at the White Rabbit Bottle Shop to complete their purchase by June 12. Proxies are not permitted.
The Aged Series has become an annual showcase for the Lynchburg distillery, which was officially registered in 1866 and holds the distinction of being the first registered distillery in the United States. Jack Daniel’s is recognized by Interbrand as the most valuable spirits brand in the world and is sold in more than 170 countries.
