Horse Soldier Bourbon has unveiled a special commemorative bottle celebrating 250 years of the United States Army. The veteran-owned whiskey brand released this limited-edition bourbon at 100 proof, now available for $150 at select military bases and online.
Veteran-Crafted Whiskey Pays Tribute to Military Heritage
The anniversary release showcases Horse Soldier Bourbon’s signature metal label featuring The America’s Response Monument against a cobalt-blue patina background. A gold soldier on horseback adorns the design, while a five-pointed star on the bottle’s neck represents the Army’s courage and strength.
“As a veteran-owned brand, each bottle of Horse Soldier Bourbon is crafted to embody the spirit and resilience of those who serve our great nation,” said Scott Neil, Co-Founder of Horse Soldier Bourbon and retired U.S. Army Green Beret. The special release reflects the company’s deep connection to military service and its commitment to honoring those who defend the nation.
The bourbon features a mash bill of 75% corn, 15% rye, and 10% barley. According to the official tasting notes, this 10-year-aged whiskey delivers a rich and complex flavor profile. The 100-proof bottling strikes a balance between strength and refinement, making it suitable for both collectors and whiskey enthusiasts.
Expanding Military Anniversary Collection
Horse Soldier Bourbon plans to release two additional limited-edition bottles this year. The U.S. Navy will receive its commemorative bottle in October, followed by the U.S. Marine Corps celebration in November. These releases continue the brand’s tradition of honoring military milestones.
The company maintains strong ties to veteran organizations through partnerships with Tunnel to Towers, COSF, Folded Flag, and Purple Heart Project. Horse Soldier Bourbon recently launched the Legendary Service Campaign in partnership with Tunnel to Towers to recognize everyday heroes across America.
Based in Pulaski County, Kentucky, Horse Soldier Bourbon draws its name from the Green Berets who rode horses into Afghanistan shortly after September 11, 2001. Their story inspired the film “12 Strong” and the CNN documentary “Legion of Brothers.” The America’s Response Monument at Ground Zero commemorates their service.
The whiskey has earned recognition at international competitions, including three double gold medals at the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Each bottle represents the brand’s commitment to quality and its dedication to American military heritage.
