Heaven Hill Distillery has unveiled Heaven Hill Bottled-in-Bond Double Mash, a nine-year-old expression that combines two distinct bourbon mashbills in a single release. The bourbon will roll out nationwide in limited quantities from August 2026 at a suggested retail price of $49.99.
The Bardstown, Kentucky-based producer describes the whiskey as a “first-of-its-kind release.” It uses two-thirds traditional bourbon mashbill with one-third wheated bourbon mashbill. The traditional mashbill comprises 78% corn, 10% rye and 12% malted barley. The wheated mashbill contains 68% corn, 20% wheat and 12% malted barley.
Both bourbons were aged for nine years and bottled at 100 proof, in line with the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897.

The result is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey that pairs the structure of traditional bourbon with the softer character of wheat.
Heaven Hill developed Double Mash to highlight opportunities within the Bottled-in-Bond designation. While wheated bourbon has become a sought-after style, it is not recognized as a separate legal classification under US whiskey regulations, meaning that Heaven Hill could combine traditional and wheated Bottled-in-Bond bourbons into one expression.

O’Driscoll added: “By bringing together our traditional and wheated bourbon mashbills, we’ve created a first-of-its-kind Bottled-in-Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey that delivers a distinctly different tasting experience while remaining true to the craftsmanship and authenticity that define Heaven Hill.”
According to the official notes from the brand, Double Mash pours a warm amber color with aromas of toasted oak, honey and a hint of white pepper. The palate offers honey and citrus oil, before finishing with caramel and baking spices.
The release joins the Heaven Hill portfolio alongside Heaven Hill Bottled-in-Bond, the Heaven Hill Heritage Collection and Heaven Hill Grain to Glass.
