Heaven Hill Distillery has unveiled the Rittenhouse United States 250th Anniversary Commemorative Edition, a limited-edition, 10-year-old Bottled-in-Bond straight rye whiskey marking America’s Semiquincentennial. The release launched in May 2026 at a suggested retail price of $99.99 and will be allocated across select US markets and at the Heaven Hill Bourbon Experience in Bardstown, Kentucky.
The expression is composed of a mashbill of 51% rye, 35% corn, and 14% malted barley. It is non-chill filtered and drawn from 90 carefully selected barrels aged across multiple rickhouses and floors.

Bottled at 100 proof, the whiskey adheres to the standards established by the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897, which requires spirits to be the product of a single distilling season, aged for a minimum of four years in a federally bonded warehouse, and bottled at 100 proof.
“This special release is a tribute not only to America’s 250 years of independence, but also to the enduring legacy of rye whiskey in our country’s history,” said Molly Vincent, Associate Director, Luxury Whiskeys at Heaven Hill. “Rittenhouse has long stood as a symbol of classic American rye, and this 10-year-old Bottled-in-Bond expression showcases the depth and character that define both the brand and the milestone it commemorates.”

The Rittenhouse brand is named after Philadelphia’s famed Rittenhouse Square. It is rooted in Pennsylvania’s historic Monongahela rye whiskey tradition, which was a cornerstone of early American distilling when rye was the dominant spirit across the region.
Commemorative packaging prominently features “1776–2026” alongside patriotic design elements including stars and red, white, and blue coloring. The iconic Liberty Bell pays homage to Rittenhouse’s Pennsylvania roots, while the packaging highlights key quality markers including “Aged 10 Years” and “Bottled-in-Bond.”

The Rittenhouse 250th Anniversary Commemorative Edition joins a growing wave of limited releases from American whiskey producers timed to coincide with the nation’s 250th anniversary celebrations in 2026.
