The Glenturret has unveiled its 2025 Annual Releases. The eight expressions include a highly limited edition 25 and 30 year old and mark the final chapter of its core peated portfolio.

Rare Whisky Expressions Define New Collection

The Glenturret’s 2025 Release features six core expressions alongside two extremely limited bottlings. The crown jewel is a 30-year-old single malt restricted to just 50 bottles globally, available on a first-come, first-served basis. The 25-year-old expression, limited to 210 bottles worldwide, represents the distillery’s commitment to long-term maturation.

The core range includes Triple Wood, showcasing the distillery’s signature new make spirit character alongside the final releases of their peated expressions: 7 Years Old and 10 Years Old Peat Smoked. The 12 Years Old earned IWSC Spirit Gold for 2025, scoring 95 points. Additional offerings include a 14 Years Old Peat Smoked matured in Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks that will be available exclusively at the distillery, and a 15 Years Old described as “rich and decadently sweet.”

Traditional Whisky Making Methods Meet Modern Demand

“This year’s release is particularly strong, we all have our individual favourites, but it really is a testament to the incredible production and whisky making team here at The Glenturret,” said John Laurie, Managing Director at The Glenturret.

The 30-year-old expression showcases European oak cask influence with traditional characters of rich fruit, wood notes, and spices combined with citrus and vanilla touches, according to official tasting notes. Despite there being just 50 bottles available it is priced at £2,100 ($2,840). The 25-year-old combines spirit from three sherry casks, with European oak contributing dried fruit and aged oak notes while American oak adds fruit and vanilla elements and costs £1,400 ($1,900).

The Glenturret, located in Crieff, Scotland, has operated continuously since 1763, making it one of Scotland’s oldest documented distilleries. The facility maintains traditional production methods including hand-turning malted barley during the malting process.

This release marks a significant moment for collectors as the distillery phases out its core peated range, potentially increasing demand for these final bottlings. The complete 2025 collection represents what the distillery calls its “rare cask portfolio,” emphasizing small-batch production and extended aging periods that have become increasingly valued in the premium whisky segment.
