Speyside single malt Glen Moray has signed a three-year extension to remain the ‘Official Whisky’ of the ISPS Handa Senior Open. The Elgin-based distiller announced the deal on 17 August, following this year’s Championship at Gleneagles.
The extended contract will take Glen Moray to Royal Porthcawl in 2027 and beyond.

The partnership celebrates the shared Scottish roots of golf and whisky. Glen Moray first signed a three-year deal starting at Carnoustie in 2024.
The ISPS Handa Senior Open is Europe’s only senior major. It is hosted each July at an iconic UK golf course and attracts more than 20,000 fans each year. The Championship features 144 players competing for one of the sport’s most sought-after senior titles.

Glen Moray’s on-site tasting room, bottle shop and sampling program have become one of the Championship’s most popular attractions.
This year, the distiller introduced a deeper tasting and masterclass experience, led by Global Brand Ambassador Iain Allan and his team. Nearly 600 guests sampled the brand’s spirit across four complimentary whisky flights from the Explorer, Heritage, Xperience and Warehouse 1 ranges.

All players received a bottle of Forbidden Fruit, a recent expression from the Xperience Range. Drams and cocktails were served in hospitality at Gleneagles Hotel and at the pre-event Pro-Am tournament.
Allan presented a unique bottle of Glen Moray to this year’s winner, Jerry Kelly. The single cask #5286 was distilled in 1994 and bottled in 2026 exclusively for the Championship.
